Books to Make You Laugh, Room to Help You Relax

At its core, this one-of-a-kind bookstore/library and cafe/coffee shop is a bastion of carefully selected whimsical and humorous yet inspirational books.

With plenty of room to read and relax right there on-premise, this place is also a communal workspace where visitors and locals alike can find a quiet space to study or work. While the library does provide a peaceful spot to read and recharge, unlike traditional libraries, it doesn’t discourage laughter.

Its decor features soft, cozy loveseats and chairs with pillows to spare centered around stone-topped tables. Many of these spots are set back into the wall for more peace and privacy and framed by bookshelves.

Food at Beverages

While you’re enjoying a few laughs from one of the library’s selections or catching up on your work or studying, you can also enjoy a mug of freshly brewed coffee with some delicious fresh-baked pastries like croissants, muffins, and pies or healthy savory snacks, including exotic sandwiches, salads, and quiches.

Offering both classic and seasonal blends, all the coffee this place serves comes from the leading coffee roaster La Colombe. In light of the COVID pandemic, the library, along with Virgin Hotels in general, has instituted some new standards of cleanliness and social distancing. These include a requested six-feet distance between people who aren’t traveling or visiting the library together.

You’ll find Funny Library Dallas located on the ground floor of Virgin Hotels Dallas at 1445 Turtle Creek Boulevard in Dallas, Texas. Hours of operation are from 7 am to 2 pm daily.
